Peran Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja dalam menegakkan Peraturan Daerah tidak lepas dari bagaimana pelanggaran Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) pada saat proses penertiban maupun bentuk pengawasannya terhadap Peraturan Daerah yang dijalankan sesuai dengan Tugas Pokok dan Fungsinya sebagai penegak perda dan penyelenggaraan ketertiban umum dan ketenteraman masyarakat. Ketenteraman masyarakat dan Ketertiban umum merupakan suatu kebutuhan dasar kota, sebagaimana yang diatur dalam Peraturan Daerah No. 1 tahun 2016 di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, data dapat dianalisis dengan cara hanya menggambarkan, menguraikan dan menjelaskan tentang permasalahan yang terjadi terhadap Peran Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja dalam menegakkan Peraturan Daerah No.1 Tahun 2016 pasal 43 tentang Penertiban Pedagang Kaki Lima di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Hasil penelitian bahwa (1) Peran Satpol PP di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan dalam penertiban PKL adalah melakukan penertiban dan penataan serta penindakan.. (2) Kendala-kendala yang dihadapi Satpol PP dalam penertiban PKL di Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan kurangnya kesadaran dan partisipasi pedagang, transportasi yang tidak layak serta Sumber daya Manusia yang belum memadai.(3) Untuk mengatasi kendala-kendala dalam penegakkan peraturan Daerah telah dilaksanakan sosialisasi, mengupayakan penambahan armada serta Bimtek bagi Anggota Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja.
